Eric is an outdoor lover with a knack for business and computers. He is a UBC graduate in Economics and has a love for teaching. Throughout University Eric helped tutor his friends in economics and commerce. Since then, Eric has taken up a love for computers and developing software which he teaches in addition to Economics and Finance at Knack.

Eric believes a love to learn and a curiosity for knowledge will allow any student to be successful, and he provides the patience and guidance students need to understand the concepts they are learning.

A lifelong West Van native, Nick was in the final class at Hillside before its demolition and later continued his education at Rockridge & West Vancouver Secondary School. After graduating from UBC’s Sauder School with a BCom. in Finance alongside his sister (who was 3rd in her class), Nick enjoyed a brief career as a financial analyst before turning to his passion - teaching.

Having discovered this passion as a peer tutor at Rockridge as well as private tutoring through university, Nick opened Knack Academics in 2011.

Nick believes in the importance of having a balance between taking good in-class notes and effective studying, and in the interest of helping his students has created a free online collection of BC Curriculum-specific notes for Math, Physics, Chemistry and Calculus. Mila has grown up in Vancouver her whole life, and has tutored nearly every subject there is! Being in her last semester of an undergraduate mathematics degree at UBC, she has taken and mastered nearly every type of science and mathematics up to a first and second year level. She is currently in her 4th semester as an undergraduate TA for the UBC Math department, and has worked as a researcher for the department as well!!

After years of working in childcare and tutoring, Mila has found that her passion lies within helping and teaching others! Having gone through her own battle with figuring out which study and teaching methods are most effective for her, she has developed an ability to adapt to all types of learning styles and sense what her students need most!
